This Ancient City
The ancient city of Dubrovnik, Croatia's largest tourist center, health resort and seaport city, is a historically famous commercial and maritime center. The peninsula is opposite to the Italian peninsula and covers an area of 979 square kilometers.

The Old Town of Dubrovnik is divided into two parts, the Old Town and the New Town.
The old town has an ancient castle built between the 14th and 16th centuries on a megalith that protrudes from the sea. The castle is made of granite, 5 meters thick, 22 meters high and 1940 meters long. There is a moat outside the city, facing the land in the east and the sea in the west.
Along the hillside, rows of European-style ancient buildings, such as small red tile houses and tall hotels, are mixed together, colorful, like strings of beads.
The new city is built on the gentle slope of the central waterfront and has tourist facilities such as modern theaters and luxurious hotels.
Here are dotted with islands, lush forests, clear waters, abundant sunshine and beautiful coastal scenery. It is a destination that tourists yearn for.
At the heart of the city is an old town, paved in limestone, whose historic core is surrounded by medieval walls.
Visitors can stroll along the more than 6,000-foot-long walls and enjoy the views. These walls were built in the Middle Ages to protect the Old Town of Dubrovnik from pirates and other undesirables.
Built with fortifications, fortresses and towers, the city walls are breathtaking with the azure waters of the Adriatic Sea on one side and the unique terracotta roofs of the ancient city on the other.
In 1979, Dubrovnik's Old Town was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List with most of its walls.
After the American drama "Game of Thrones" was broadcast, it became a place for many fans to check in. It is called "Slavic Athens" and "City Museum".
During the 45-day "Summer of Dubrovnik" Drama Festival every year, there are more than 40 open-air theaters, with the ancient buildings of the Renaissance as the set, and many wonderful programs such as classic dramas are staged.
