Perfect Donuts
Hey, Lykkers! Do you like donuts? Next, let's make colorful donuts together!
The origin of donuts
The origin of donuts can be traced back to various places and times. One popular theory is that they were first created by Dutch settlers in the United States. These early donuts were known as "olykoeks," or oily cakes, and were balls of sweetened dough fried in oil.
Donuts are always irresistible, especially when they're still warm. With the right equipment and ingredients, you can make them at home.

Steps to Make Donuts
1. In a large bowl, combine the warm milk, yeast, and a pinch of sugar. Let it sit for a few minutes until the yeast activates and becomes foamy.
2. Add the eggs, melted butter or oil, sugar, salt, vanilla extract, and flour. Mix with the electric mixer or by hand until a smooth dough forms.
3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for a few minutes until it's elastic and smooth. Place it in a greased bowl, cover it with a towel, and let it rise in a warm place until it doubles in size.
4. Once the dough has risen, roll it out with the rolling pin to about 1/2 inch thickness.
5. Use the donut cutter or cookie cutters to cut out the donut shapes. Place the cut donuts on a baking sheet and let them rise for another 15-20 minutes.
6. Heat the oil in the deep fryer or pot to 350°F (175°C). Carefully place the donuts in the hot oil, a few at a time, and fry until they are golden brown on both sides, turning them occasionally.
7. Use the slotted spoon to remove the fried donuts and place them on the wire rack to cool.
8. Once cooled slightly, dust the donuts with powdered sugar.
Tips: You can add some chocolate chips or sprinkles to the dough for a fun variation. Or, instead of powdered sugar, you can glaze the donuts with a simple icing made of powdered sugar and milk.
Then, it's time to enjoy your delicious donuts!
