Cakes and doughnuts are both very popular desserts in the world. Combining them to make a doughnut cake!
How to make a cake
Ingredients: 5 eggs, 85g yoghurt, 55g sugar, 10g corn starch, 100g low gluten flour, 60g corn oil
Steps
1. Separate the egg whites and yolks, mix the corn oil with the yoghurt, sift in the low-gluten flour and mix well, then add the egg yolks and mix well.
2. Add sugar and cornstarch to egg whites and whip.
3. Preheat oven to 130 degrees.
4. Mix the egg whites with the egg yolks in three batches, pour into chiffon moulds, and bake in the preheated oven for 50 minutes at 130 degrees, then bake for 10 minutes at 150 degrees.
How to make doughnuts.
Ingredients.High gluten flour 300g
Yeast 4g
Sugar 40g
Salt 2g
Milk 130g
Egg 1pc
Unsalted butter 75g
Powdered sugar 160g
Milk 35g
Vanilla extract 2g
Steps
1. Let's make the dough first, take 300g of high gluten flour, 4g of yeast, 40g of sugar, 2g of salt, 130g of milk, and 1 egg, put all into the bread machine, and mix.
2. Add 40g of unsalted butter that has softened completely at room temperature.
3. Continue to mix until a thin film of bread.
4. Take out the kneaded dough and knead it into a round dough.
5. Cover with plastic wrap and let rise at room temperature for 1 hour.
6. Take out the fermented dough and roll it into a 1 cm thick sheet.
7. Cut out the dough in the shape of a doughnut and place it on a baking sheet.
8. Cover with plastic wrap and let stand for about half an hour.
9. Heat the oil in a non-stick skillet to 6-7% hot and add the relaxed dough.
10. Fry slowly over low heat until golden brown on both sides, then remove and let cool.
11. Then we make the sugar mixture for the dough and take 35g of unsalted butter. Powdered sugar 160g, milk 35g, vanilla extract 2g, put together and mix well.
12. Put the fried doughnuts, evenly coated with sugar mixture, let it stand for 15 minutes, and wait for the surface to slowly solidify.
After cooling, put the doughnuts on top of the cake for decoration, a delicious doughnut birthday cake is ready!
