Since then, it has grown into a global phenomenon, enjoyed on beaches, courts, and even backyards. With both indoor and beach variants, volleyball offers something for everyone.

The Basics of Volleyball

At its core, volleyball is played between two teams, typically consisting of six players each on an indoor court. The objective is to score points by sending the ball over the net and making it land in the opponent's court. Each match is played in a best-of-five sets format, with the first team to reach 25 points (and lead by at least two points) winning the set.
Players use various skills, including serving, passing, setting, attacking, blocking, and digging. The serve begins the rally, and a well-placed serve can give a team an immediate advantage. We’ve found that practicing different types of serves, such as floaters and jump serves, can be a game-changer.
