Running Ground
Once you've put on your sports vest, shorts, and running shoes, the next step is to choose a suitable running surface. This article will briefly introduce the four common running venues in the city, and analyze their advantages and disadvantages one by one.
1. Athletics Field
For most people with track and field training experience, this venue is the first choice. With the rise of running sports in recent years, more and more people go to the track and field to run.
Advantage:
*Among all venues, the safety factor of the track and field is the highest, and running here basically does not encounter all kinds of vehicles. Of course, the free track and field are likely to have children running wildly and elderly people walking around, so it is best to choose a charged track and field for running.
* Track and field running are easier to grasp the sense of speed. Because the first course is fixed at 400 meters, there is no need to consider the inaccuracy of the watch, and even without wearing a watch, you can know the lap speed and pace with a stopwatch.
*Increase the chance of encountering sports stars. Most professional athletes and amateur masters have a rigid need for field training, so the chances of meeting masters on the field are much higher than in other places. Observe more, and chat while stretching without disturbing others, and there may be unexpected gains.
Disadvantage:
*Because the runway is only 400 meters in one lap, the training mentality of more than 15 kilometers will cause fatigue.
*Because we are used to running the field counterclockwise, if we run in one direction for a long time, the side with more force is more likely to be injured. For training of more than 10 kilometers, it is recommended to take half of the amount to run clockwise.
2. Park
Most amateur runners start running in the park because its good environment attracts many people to run in the morning and at night.
Advantage:
* The safety factor is very high: there are no cars and bicycles in the park, and there will be children's scooters and the like during peak hours. Some parks will have tour buses, you need to be careful.
*The environment is pleasant, especially the parks with many trees and water surfaces, the summer is cooler, there will be shade, and the air is better than in other places.
*Some parks have ramps, and you can practice up and downhill, by the way, after all, most road running competitions also have some uphill and downhill.
Disadvantage:
*Some parks are paved roads, and the legs and knees will be uncomfortable after running for a long time, increasing the probability of injury.
*The routes in most parks have many turns and are not suitable for speed training.
*Parks are public places after all, and many parks are open for many tourists, which may affect the quality of running.
3. City closed roads
This is a newly developed running spot in many big cities in recent years, and some places have built walking trails for walking and jogging, which is convenient for everyone to exercise.
Advantage:
*Safety is relatively high: cars will not meet, and occasionally bicycles will be encountered, if you pay attention, this will not be a big problem.
*Pleasant environment: this is similar to a park.
*It can be used as a route for commuting if you research it in advance.
Disadvantage:
*Pedestrians are similar to the tourists in the park, not suitable for aerobic exercise, only running for relaxation.
*You need to avoid playing with children when running, so there are still some safety hazards in this place.
4. Open the road
Many runners are willing to train or even test on open roads. After all, many marathons are also held on open roads in cities, which can simulate the race route to the greatest extent possible.
Advantage:
*Running on open roads can simulate the route and road conditions of the competition. Make yourself more confident.
*For long-distance training, it is more comfortable to run on the asphalt road, and the route is fresher than the park.
*Open roads are generally wider and are relatively more suitable for group training.
Disadvantage:
*The biggest disadvantage is definitely that there is a huge safety hazard, especially during the day when there are many vehicles. At night, the light is not good, and the speed of the car is very dangerous.
*It will affect the running rhythm when waiting for the traffic lights.
*Because most of the routes are on bicycle lanes, it is easy to conflict with bicycles.
