1. Variety
There are many varieties of succulents, some of which are extremely vigorous and adaptable to the surrounding environment very quickly. Some varieties are more difficult to keep and will wither away if you are not careful.
Therefore, as a novice, it is better to choose a succulent that is better to keep, noting that you can accumulate experience in keeping succulents and also give yourself a boost of confidence in caring for them. Good-looking succulents such as Hazel Moon, Rainbow Jade, and Chihuahua are good-looking and tough. When planting succulents, it is best for newcomers to choose spring and autumn.
2. Soil
Succulents like to grow in a dry soil environment, to loose and breathable sandy soil, because the soil drainage and permeability are relatively good, more suitable for succulent growth.
It is also best to choose warm weather to change the soil of the succulents you buy back from the flower market, otherwise, the soil that comes with it is very unsuitable for the healthy growth of succulents.
3. Temperature
It is very important to maintain succulents at a suitable temperature, generally between 15 and 25 degrees for growth, but as long as the temperature is not higher than 35 degrees and not lower than 5 degrees, most succulents will not enter dormancy and will grow normally.
If it snows in winter, don't take your succulents outdoors, you can take them out into the sun when it is sunny.
4. Humidity
Many flower lovers have a misconception that humidity means watering, but in fact, it is not. Humidity contains two kinds, one is air humidity and the other is soil humidity.
Many flower friends have the wrong experience and think that maintaining humidity means watering.
In fact, humidity contains two kinds, one air humidity, is soil humidity, watering can only maintain soil humidity, but when the air is too dry, we have to humidify the succulent plants by spraying, when the air humidity is high, we have to put the succulent in a dry place, so as to avoid mold, black rot, and rotten roots.
5. Ventilation
In spring, summer and winter, if you have the conditions at home, it is best to keep your succulent in the open, indoor maintenance must pay attention to ventilation, and diligent window opening, summer and rainy seasons, you can use a small fan to blow the succulent, increase airflow.
Although succulents are easy to grow, they often encounter many problems in maintenance: slow growth, growth, no color, rotten roots, etc. If they do not grow for a long time, you should change the pot and soil in time, clean up some rotten roots, and usually pay attention to increasing the light.
