Promote Tourism Development
The Portuguese National Tourist Office Visit Portugal has launched two important initiatives with complementary objectives to promote tourism in a more responsible and sustainable manner.
Portugal National Tourist Office's new tourism promotion project "Big in" is one of them. It is hoped to promote the development of Portuguese villages and towns by clearly positioning them and their unique attributes.
Despite their small size, Portugal's villages and towns have some of the characteristics we value most. Such as their historical age, space, or character.
Under the motto of "Small is the new Big ", the concept of "Big in" is promoted to domestic and foreign markets. First of all, the foreign market will start from Spain.
In addition, a digital platform called Curated Cultural Experiences was launched, which brings together art creators from mainland Portugal and its islands.
New artisans and artists work to revive traditional materials from an entrepreneurial perspective promoting sustainable consumption. Create original works of art in small-scale production using contemporary techniques.
The "Curated Cultural Experiences" project, created with the support of the Portuguese National Tourist Office, is an immersive project aimed at promoting the return of traditional artisanal arts.
The platform includes 21 artists and their studios, where visitors can visit and share and learn what they have seen and heard through different itineraries.
The itinerary and content focus on culture, environment, and visitor experience, based on the mapping of the country's territory, artistic curatorial experience, classification by region, raw materials, and craftsmanship. All information is available at www.curatedexperiencesportugal.com. The website supports computer and mobile browsing and is equipped with Portuguese and English bilingual support.
The Spotify channel will also offer podcast-style dialogues, in which the artists who integrate these creative journeys share their work knowledge and life experiences to let more people know about them and their works.
The project is part of a strategy to promote more diverse exchanges and also includes The Swallow of Diversity, a recent collaboration between Bordallo and the Portuguese National Tourist Office. The collaboration reshaped multiculturalism. A colorful composition that expresses the diversity of Portuguese culture, but also affirms respect for all differences.
According to the President of the Portugal National Tourist Office, "this action embodies the various characteristics of Portugal and helps to establish Portugal's image in the international market."
“Portugal and the Portuguese continue to have the qualities and abilities that lead us to the forefront, so we will always have the ambition to lead the tourism industry of the future. We welcome all and respect all differences,” he noted.
