Ingredients for the crust:
200g low flour
80g butter
15g sugar
1g salt
55g eggwash
Ingredients for the filling:
10g butter
300g apples
50g sugar
15g water
A few drops of lemon juice
Instructions:
1. Soften the butter and mix it with the low-gluten flour and sugar.
2. Add the egg mixture to the kneaded flour and mix well.
3. Knead the dough and chill it in the refrigerator for 1 hour.
4. Heat a pan and add the butter. Pour in the diced apples and sugar and cook, stirring constantly.
5. When the diced apples are soft, pour in the water and stir-fry for a few minutes.
6. Divide the dough into two large and small pieces and spread the larger piece on the pie plate, removing the excess dough.
7. Using a fork, poke small holes in the bottom crust.
8. Roll the small piece of dough into thin slices and cut it into small strips.
9. Fill the pie plate with the apple pie filling and weave a criss-cross lattice across the top of the pie plate with the cut strips.
10. Remove the excess dough and brush the top with the egg wash.
11. Place in the middle of the oven, preheat the oven to 190 degrees, and bake for 15 minutes.
In addition to being a delicious treat, apples also have many health benefits. Here are some of the benefits of eating apples:
Anti-diarrhea: Apples contain tannins, malic acid, organic acids, pectin, and fiber which have an astringent effect and can benefit the intestinal tract, relieving diarrhea.
Laxative: The organic acids and fiber in apples can promote intestinal peristalsis, making stools soft and easy to excrete, promoting laxation, and treating dry stools.
Prevention and treatment of high blood pressure: Apples contain more potassium and less sodium, which can help excrete excess sodium from the body, making it beneficial for people with hypertension.
Weight loss: The vitamins and malic acid in apples can promote the breakdown of accumulated fat in the body, helping prevent obesity.
Prevention of anemia: Eating apples regularly can increase hemoglobin, assisting in the treatment of anemia.
Prevent aging: The calcium and vitamin E in apples can contribute to the prevention of aging.
Prevent diabetes: The pectin in apples can prevent the increase of cholesterol and lower the blood sugar level, making it effective in preventing and treating diabetes.
Enhance memory: Apples contain sugar, vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients needed by the brain, and are also rich in zinc, which is a key factor in promoting growth and development.
Eliminate fatigue: Apples contain polysaccharides, potassium, pectin, tartaric acid, malic acid, and citric acid, which are very effective in eliminating fatigue in the body.
