Donut
A doughnut is a kind of sweet food that is mixed with flour, sugar, cream, and eggs and then fried. The two most common doughnut shapes are hollow rings, or closed doughnuts with sweet fillings such as cream or eggs in the middle of the dough.
Doughnuts are also one of the most popular desserts in the United States. They can be found at any pastry shop or fast food restaurant. Children as young as five years old and people as old as 75 years old have a consistent love for it.
In Asia, doughnuts are usually eaten as a snack, but in the United States, many people eat them as breakfast and even celebrate Donut Day.
One day in 1940, Captain Gray, who as a boy loved to eat his mother's fried bread, found that the center of the fried bread was not fully cooked because it had not been fried long enough.
So Gray's mother cut out the center of the fried bread, re-fried it, and found that the fried bread was even more delicious, so they named it a donut.
Because donuts are made with hot oil. Therefore, the secret of tasty doughnuts lies in how to make the doughnuts completely fried in a short time, and by the mother's resourceful way of handling them, it can be seen that the mother's care and love for the children.
Donuts are a kind of historic food. Is a kind of daily snack, but also a kind of love and affection.
Eugenie Cheney, a maths lecturer at the University of Sheffield, has used the formula of calculus to discover why doughnuts taste good.
She calculated that the perfect doughnut should be between 72 mm and 82 mm in diameter, with an optimal diameter of 11 mm for the round hole in the middle.
For those of you who like crunchy shells, you can open the hole wider. She also calculated the optimal amount of frosting for the doughnut: 5.8 grams. But she admits, "It's easy to confuse yourself with calculus, so eat what you like."
