Freesias

Freesias like cool and humid environment with sufficient light. They have poor cold resistance. The suitable temperature for freesias to grow is 15 ℃ ~ 20 ℃, and the minimum temperature for overwintering is 3 ℃ ~ 5 ℃. Freesias grow better if the temperature difference between day and night is large. But the temperature should be 10 ℃ ~ 15 ℃ at night and no more than 20 ℃ during the day, otherwise they won’t grow well. Freesias like loose, well drained and humus rich soil. Under the condition of short sunshine, freesias are beneficial to promote flower bud differentiation. After flower bud differentiation, long sunshine can help blossom early.
The stems of freesias are relatively weak and prone to lodging. It is best to use support when cultivating. When the flowers of freesias wither, watering should be reduced gradually. When they wither completely, dig out the bulbs and dry them. Then store them at low temperature.
