A Timeless Pursuit
Tennis, one of the ball sports, was nurtured in France, born in England, and reached its peak in popularity and formation in the United States. Its earliest origins can be traced back to 12th-13th century France.
At the inaugural modern Olympic Games held in Athens in 1896, men's singles and doubles tennis were listed as official events.
However, due to disagreements between the International Olympic Committee and the International Tennis Federation on the issue of "amateur athletes," tennis events were canceled for seven consecutive Olympic Games. It wasn't until the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics that tennis was reinstated as an Olympic sport. In the 1988 Seoul Olympics, tennis was again listed as an official competition.
As is well known, tennis is one of today's four major aristocratic sports, fashionable and prevalent worldwide. Wherever you go, some people love playing tennis. Tennis involves no physical contact, and as long as you know how to play and master the techniques, you can enjoy this sport for a lifetime.
Tennis is often hailed as the second major ball sport because it engages various parts of the body, second only to the first major ball sport, soccer. Tennis lacks only the training of heading the ball, meaning that only the functionality of the head remains unexercised.
