Summer Tea
This mint and lemon iced tea is perfect for summer! It's so refreshing and healthy, plus it's low-calorie too!
Many of us enjoy long summer days, filled with sunshine and high temperatures. It's crucial to stay hydrated during these hot days by drinking plenty of fluids, especially water, to keep our bodies hydrated!
But hey, drinking gallons of plain water can get a bit dull, right? We totally get it. In the summer, especially when we're outside, we drink tons of water. But when we're at home, we crave something more exciting. Anything! So, we whip up all sorts of refreshing drinks to keep ourselves hydrated all day long!
Among these drinks, we enjoy infused water, flavored water with syrup, various fruit and vegetable juices, or refreshing iced teas like this mint and lemon version.
We adore fresh mint! It's the perfect herb for creating a variety of soft drinks, so it was the natural choice for our iced tea recipe.

Fresh mint and lemon iced tea recipe:
Ingredients:
- 8-10 sprigs fresh mint, rinsed
- 1 lemon
- Honey, to taste
- Ice cubes
- 4 cups water (1 liter)
Instructions:
1. Place the mint sprigs in a large heatproof jug or pitcher.
2. Boil the water and pour it over the mint in the jug/pitcher. Let it steep for 30 minutes.
3. Once the water has cooled to warm (not hot), add honey to taste and stir until dissolved.
4. Chill the jug/pitcher in the fridge until ready to serve.
5. Just before serving, squeeze in the juice of about 1/4 lemon (adjust to taste) and mix well.
6. Serve the iced tea with a few slices of lemon, fresh mint leaves, and ice cubes.

Notes:
- Adding more ice will dilute the flavor, so adjust according to your preference.
- For a stronger mint taste, increase the amount of fresh mint used.
- Using dried mint will result in a darker color and a stronger flavor in the tea. Adjust the amount to suit your taste preferences accordingly.
