Burrito
Burritos are delicious homemade rolls made with a crispy and tough exterior, filled with your favorite ingredients such as sweet and savory vegetables, flavorful meats, and soft eggs. You can make them in advance and warm them up in the morning for a quick and satisfying breakfast.
Ingredients:
75g Flour
35g Boiling water
Cold water
5g Corn oil
Filling ingredients (e.g. 100g marinated meat, 2 marinated eggs, half a cucumber)
2 tbsp Marinade
1-2 tbsp Chili powder
Instructions:
Mix flour and boiling water until a willow-shaped dough forms. Add cold water and corn oil to form a smooth dough.
Let the dough rise for 30 minutes.
Divide the dough into two pieces, brush one with oil, and stick them together. Roll out thinly (2mm).
Heat a pan with a thin layer of oil, place the pastry in the pan, and cook until both sides are golden brown and lightly charred.
Cut the marinated meat and cucumber into thin strips. Spread the sauce (made by mixing marinade and chili powder) on the flour, add the cucumber and meat strips, and a marinated egg. Roll up the burrito and it's ready to eat.
Tips:
Use chili powder in the sauce for a more fragrant taste.
Adding curd to the marinade makes the sauce thicker and gives it a richer flavor.
La Americana Sauce
This Latin American sauce, made with tomatoes, lemon, bell pepper, onion, sugar, and chili powder, is the perfect complement to burritos. Not only is it delicious on its own, but it also goes well with other foods and can cool down your palate on a hot summer day.
Instructions:
Wash and chop the tomatoes, bell pepper, and onion.
Put all ingredients in a blender and add lemon juice.
Blend until a smooth sauce forms.
